Fast quick and healthy
I use any left over veg that’s in the fridge or frozen veg works just as good.
75g rice ( I use brown)
Spices to flavour
Measure the rice
Rinse in a shiv in cold water
Transfer the rice ton pan add the water and. bring to the boil, once the water is boiling reduce to simmer and let the water evaporate. Once the water has disappeared and the rice is dry transfer the rice to a bowl and leave to cool.
Add all the chopped veg ( I used carrots, celery, spring onions, garlic , pepper) but you can use anything you like.
Add a dash of oil to the work and start to cook the veg once the veg had softened add the cold rice and stir fry. Flavour the rice to you taste using spices we added chilli powder, black pepper and a little paprika. Add soya sauce to taste I always add a little and the serve some on the table if people want more.
While stir fry the veg and rice which the eggs together and add to a frying pan making a omelette once cooked through slice the egg and add it to the fried rice, then serve this can gf served as a side dish or a main.
It’s full of protein , veg and carbs perfect for a growing family and the above will easily feed four.
we pre-ordered this game when we bough the switch. bit of a drama as in a unorganised mum mode I lost the receipt which showed my hubby had paid for the game in full. oopps. Not wanting to admit it I rushed to game as soon as the game came out while pretending I was doing the banking for work. I said to the guy I’ve lost the receipt we for the game he looked at me blankly and said sorry love nothing I can do. WHAT…. I said you best find it or get your manager we paid for this on the night the switch launched it was you who served us and we was the only on here with a 7yr old as it was a school night (high-five to home-school). After what felt like hours was probably 10 minutes he arrived back with the game and said oh yes sorry it had your name on in the back handed me the game and I turned and walked off. ughh for not the best service even though it was my fault were not in the stone age now we have computers. Drama over.
I love this game on the wii-u and we spend many nights having family gaming night. There’s something about the switch that I’m disappointed with I feel like I’m rebuying all the games we have on the wii-u. they have small little extras on. Mario kart is a great family game and you can have hours of fun. would we rebuy it to play on the switch I asked issy (my little boy) he said no I just feel its a shame that the games we have for the wii-u aren’t compatible. we’ve also purchased lego city again we have played the full game in one player mode on the wii-u but as the second player during story mode there is a lot of time spent sat around waiting for the other play to complete the tasks.
we still have some ew games to play and have platoons on re order which were really looking forward to. Issy has plans o start his own gaming channel in the summer so hopefully he will be able to review the games for you.
Sometimes I don’t know where the time goes. I seem to link and he grows and weeks have gone past I realise I’ve a mountain of photographs to share and not had time to blog.
the past few weeks have been busy we got the keys to our new holiday lodge and have been busy visiting there organising things. We’ve had little days out and enjoyed the sunny weather. Although that has now disappeared here and it is currently throwing it down with rain.
he looks so excited to be having pizza and chips its his most favourite meal and he usually only eats our homemade pizza as he can be quite picky with food.
we’ve also been for his eye test review were now down to yearly check up as he is short sighted he will always need glasses which is great as he loves his ray bans. he made me promise they would be no stingy drops but no he’s old luckily we don’t need them. I managed to get a sneaky picture. I’ll be in trouble when he sees this.
we picked the keys up to our holiday home a couple of days ago and went to get everything set up. The weather was nice but not warm. After setting up all the inside we went off to explore.
The sites amazing and the facilities are out of this world.
We spent the afternoon walking thecwoodland trail and playing mini golf.
I went to put the rubbish in the bin stretched up and my pants fell down yep big mum fail and red face. Luckily I had a jules rain coat on and quick thinking little boy with me who jumped in front of me. I spent the rest of the day with my pants saftey pinned to my tshirt. Think I’ve lists to much weight when my size 6 pants fall off. Note to sell must eat more and stop being so anxious.
We love games, game consoles we love playing family gaming nights. I only started playing after my son decided age 3 fm he wanted to game and has gamed ever since.
We pre ordered the new Nintendo switch as a surprise. We headed to game at midnight (yes we went and queued) he cryed with happiness when they handed him his switch. He waited 20!days to be able to play on it and to open it for his birthday. We currently only have Lego city, Zelda, but have pre ordered mario kart and splatoon 2.
While we like the switch my 7year old does not find it as easy to use on his own as the wii u or PS4. Wii u is still played with a lot more in our house due to being able to watch YouTube. He loves to watch and follow the walk through s of games.
We was lucky enough to get a box delivered from innocent. The biggest box arrived full of cups and seeds and compost. I’m not the best at looking after plants they die pretty quickly but we’re trying.
So the first afternoon nice afternoon we grabbed our box and went outside to pot the seeds. We had carrots and peas.
7days later after sitting on my kitchen window sill ( they had to sit there in front of my sink else I wouldn’t remember to water them ) they started to grow. 14 days later we have the picture below.
Hey we’ll never grow enough beans or carrots to stock our shop but maybe enough for some soup. Watch this space …
